This project provided both a Study and Design services for an emergency water supply system. The project began with a hydrogeological investigation to identify three possible locations for a new well while meeting all local requirements and contamination concerns. This included drilling, testing, laboratory analysis, hydrogeology and mapping of the area. Based on these findings, our client selected the preferred site and we provided design services for a new building and well.
The design services included:
- A new CMU building to house all equipment such as the storage tank, chlorine injection system and pumps.
- Design of a new well addressing depth, utility trenching, access, waterline, land protection and usage.
- An Erosion Control Plan was provided for areas of land disturbance, inlet protection, sediment trap, construction entrance and filter fence.
- Landscape design for screening around the new building and access paths.
