Taxiway Lighting and Signage

An existing Commercial and Military airfield had outdated and obsolescent lighting and signage that required replacement. This project provided complete design documents for the replacement of taxiway lighting, illuminated and non-illuminated signage, and all associated electrical equipment.

  • New Padmount Transformers and Constant Current Regulators with upgraded direct switching control of the overall lighting system.
  • Manhole and Handhole Inspections and Condition Checklist, including design for repair by replacement where appropriate.
  • Replacement of all existing taxiway lighting including new homerun circuitry.
  • Demolition of all taxiway lighting, signage, and electrical systems.
  • Review and evaluate airfield requirements versus FAA and NAVAIR documents.
  • Repair of Asphalt and Concrete Surfaces.
  • Design of Conduit Systems. Layout new wiring, pedestals, handholes, fixture bases, cans, LED, and incandescent lighting as required.
  • Replacement of all existing signage (both illuminated and non-illuminated) with all new illuminated Signage throughout the airfield.
