Historical Building Renovation

This project reviewed several historical buildings on the campus for waterproofing and sealing of the building envelopes. We researched SHPO requirements and then presented our client with a number of options and the associated costs with each of the repairs. Working with our client, we identified the best approach to sealing the building envelopes within their respective budget.

  • After extensive field review we provided design services identifying each of the required repairs.
  • Details were provided for waterproofing of all windows.
  • Details and specifications covered sealing and repairs to stone and masonry trim consisting of terracotta and limestone cornices.
  • Design included a new curtain wall to correct existing water penetration issues.
  • Fieldwork and design also covered various repairs to roofing.
  • Construction period services included answering RFI’s, review of Submittals and site visits to answer field questions and observe work in progress.
