Teleradiology Reading Center

This 10,100 square foot project was the second Teleradiology Center in the nation designed for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Special design parameters required a state-of-the-art design with focus on the use of current technology, ergonomic work places and similar features. Computer reading rooms were arranged in an octagonal pattern around a research, clerical and consultation core. The entire reading room provided a quiet atmosphere with indirect lighting appropriate for radiology reading rooms and associated computer work. At the plan’s perimeter, we designed contemporary office space including conference rooms, lounges and break rooms, all designed with the radiologist interest and needs in mind. Special features included:

  • Full-height glass curved partitions and doors.
  • Acoustical curved vaulted ceilings.
  • Large custom conference room soffit.
  • Acoustical treatments in reading rooms.
